[Linux] GPT 파티션 설정

2TB 이상의 스토리지를 사용할 때는 MBR 방식 대신 GPT 방식을 사용.

 

fdisk 대신 parted를 사용해 준다.

 

 

 

1. parted 실행

 

다음의 명령어로 실행해 주면 됨.

 

# parted Block_Device_경로

 

저는 /dev/sdc 에 파티션 생성을 함.

 

# parted /dev/sdc GNU Parted 2.1 Using /dev/sdc Welcome to GNU Parted! Type 'help' to view a list of commands. (parted)

미리 fdisk를 사용하여 파티션을 1개 full로 생성.

 

print 명령어로 확인해 보면

 

 

(parted) print Model: LSI 9750-24i4e DISK (scsi) Disk /dev/sdc: 2400GB Sector size (logical/physical): 512B/512B Partition Table: msdos Number  Start   End     Size    Type     File system  Flags 1      32.3kB  2199GB 2199GBprimary               lvm (parted)

 

 

전체 디스크 사이즈는 2400GB 인데,

 

생성된 파티션은 2199GB 인 것을 확인.

 

'Partition Table' 의 값이 'msdos' 인 것을 확인.

 

 

 

 

2. MBR -> GPT 변경

 

다음 명령어를 사용하여 GPT 방식으로 변경 가능.

 

(parted) mklabel gpt

 

변경 후 확인해보면 Partition Table의 값이 변경된 것을 확인 가능.

 

 

(parted) mklabel gpt Warning: The existing disk label on /dev/sdc will be destroyed and all data on this disk will be lost. Do you want to continue? 3. Partition 생성

 

다음의 명령어로 파티션 생성이 가능.

 

(parted) mkpart primary 시작위치 끝위치 

 

파티션을 전체 영역으로 1개만 생성한다면 시작위치는 0, 끝위치는 디스크 용량으로 잡으시면 됨.

 

파티션 생성 후 확인 해보면 fdisk 로 생성한 것과는 다르게 2TB 이상의 파티션이 생성된 것을 확인 가능.
